The field campaign for our NSF-funded research project (See Research Page) was postponed last year due to Covid, and will hopefully kick off this summer instead. This upcoming fall and possibly the following spring, I will be looking for an undergraduate student to help us process lake sediment samples for charcoal and other analyses. This is an opportunity to get lab experience and has the potential for developing an independent research project. Please contact me if you are interested.

ATTENTION STUDENTS:  The field campaign for my new NSF-funded research project (See Research Page) will start in the summer of 2020. I am recruiting one to two PhD students to hit the ground running on this exciting new project.  If you are interested in developing a unique project in the context of this proposal, and pursuing a PhD in the Department of Earth Sciences at Syracuse University, please send me an email.  I will also be at the annual AGU meeting in San Francisco in December 2019, and would be happy to meet with any interested students while I am there.

There are also ample opportunities for undergraduate students at SU to participate in this research. Once the project is up and running, I will send out  announcements and post updates here for all students interested in undergraduate research and lab experience.
